From its humble beginnings as a small service shop in Edmonton, Alberta in 1975, The Gear Centre has evolved over the years to become Canada’s leading powertrain parts & service provider for the automotive and heavy truck industries. The Gear Centre Group of Companies currently includes 5 operating divisions: The Gear Centre Truck & Auto, The Gear Centre Off Highway, Hydra-Steer, Pat’s Driveline and Pat’s Driveline Industrial. Together the divisions can offer a wide variety of powertrain, driveline and steering expertise for many applications including automotive, medium duty, heavy truck, 4×4 and off-highway equipment.

Our customers can be found in a multitude of industries including construction, mining, forestry, rail, oilfield, material handling and agriculture. Along with our Truck & Auto Division, The Gear Centre Group serves the commercial and retail markets as well as the public sector’s industrial and military marketplaces. We also work with our sister companies, Pat’s Driveline and Hydra Steer to ensure we provide comprehensive and innovative product solutions to fit the variety of off-highway applications and customer requirements.
